# User Mapping

User mapping allows Default to map over User ID records to other systems. For example:

* <email1@company.com> in Default is the same Salesforce user as <email1@company.com>

This is a critical step to be able to reference Default users to route and assign any CRM objects, Slack messages, or Sales engagement tools.

1. Navigate to the [User Management ](https://app.default.com/settings/workspace/members)tab
2. Click on Edit Member
3. Map User's systems ID to Default Login
